Records show that the Villa Broglia’s Piedmont vineyards date from around AD 972 when it was originally called La Meirana. The estate was purchased by textile entrepreneur Bruno Broglia in 1972 and the vineyards lie in the Classico part of the region, where the hand harvested Cortese vineyards enjoy ‘best of the best’ Gavi di Gavi status. The family’s wines regularly score 90+ points or more, and Tre Bicchieri (top rating) from wine bible ‘Gambero Rosso.’
