Three exceptional vineyards on the Roter Hang come together to create this Riesling from Roter Schiefer. The grapes come from the flatter plots of the Rothenberg, Pettenthal, and Hipping vineyards and exhibit the familiar minerality of clay slate. Classified as a VDP estate wine, the Riesling from Gunderloch is a delightful introduction to the terroir. The minerality is supported by fruity aromas, primarily stone fruit, and complex citrus notes. The Riesling from Roter Schiefer is exceptionally fresh and almost tangy. This characteristic also makes it an excellent food companion.
